Flops:

Lew Bush: Wast of good cap room
Larry Parker: showed some promise but broke it.
D. Bennett: injured too much and inaffective when not.
Dante Hall: apparently home sick. No desire to play...didn't show much when he did.
Warren Moon: Stayed around one year too many.
Eric Warfield: Still has potential but didn't live up to expectations...didn't come close
Larry Atkins: Had a starting job, but Wesley showed him how to play safety...
The entire coaching staff: confusion reigned supreme for most of the year...

Props:

Grbac: became a QB and a leader...converted a lot of people over to his side
Gonzo: arguably the best TE ever..enough said.
D. Alexander: Made more plays than he missed...
TRich: endured the coaches confusion to become to likely feature back for 2001.
Clemons: injured for what, 4 or 5 games but still showed that the Vikes screwed up by letting him go...
Hicks: should be defensive MVP IMO...might have gotten 20 sacks had he been healthy...
Wesly: Heck of a year for a rookie...
Jimmy Raye: still an idiot, but he did find a passing scheme that made our offense feared and mentioned in the same breath with the Rams...for a while...now if he could only learn how to be a little less predictable...

These are just a few of my choices...didn't feel like mentioning all of them...

I'll add on:

Props:
Maz - for delivering his training camp, guarantee. And for just looking like a BAD-A$$ Linebacker!!
SlyMo - also not a bad season for a rookie, helped take some pressure off of Gonzo and Derrick.

Flops:
Saurbrun - Still a big improvement, but just didn't live up to the hype.
Gunther - didn't learn enough from rookie season, IMO. Not sure he learned much from sophomore season either!
Lamar Hunt - 12 years and running, one AFC championship APPEARANCE; dwindling attendance, lack of direction from coaching staff, resigns Peterson for 5 years...WHY?

senility?...seriously, the one thing King Carl has done is fill the seats and made the Chiefs one of the most profitable franchises in the NFL...if the bottom line is all Hunt cares about (I don't think so though), then he's getting exactly what he deserves...

Here's the bottom line, Joe: all games in 2000 were sellouts. BUT, actual attendence the last 3 home games was ALARMING!! What does that possible imply for next year's ticket sales? Would sales have maintained the sellout streak, or slipped if CP had been shown the door? Is Hunt simply afraid 'rebuilding' with a new GM/Pres/CEO & Coaching Staff would ruin his sellout streak?

I won't disagree...but when all is said and done I'm not one of the one's who wants Carls head on a plate...sure I think he's had his failures, but overall, as far as player personnel goes, he's done a good job...are we contenders for the playoffs?...every year...are we contenders for the SB?...not yet...and that is his major failing...but do you think anyone else would have or could do better?....I don't know...
