Mile high mania is the ONLY bronco's fan i've ever seen that doesn't blame their losses on everything BUT the other team beating them.

I think they lost because someone forgot to pack the cooking spray...
Or perhaps they were just overrated as hell and got creamed by a vastly superior team. Other than Denver's baffling mastery of Oakland (the ONLY impressive thing they did this year), they only beat two other teams with winning records - New Orleans and the Jets. The remainder (and bulk) of their great victories came against the likes of Seattle, San Diego, Atlanta, San Francisco and Cleveland. They were merely the beneficiaries of an incredibly light schedule, and were exposed as the frauds they are in the playoffs. I'll bet your friend didn't mention that, did he? |

Frazod, much like injuries... the schedule is a part of the game. KC should play a weaker schedule next season. So, run with it and remember your words next season if the Chiefs can break the .500 barrier.
Denver needs to address the defense, specifically the coaches. They have several key FAs to resign as well. Denver will play a nice schedule next season and I think they'll be 9-7 or 10-6 at the very least. Denver has a good team and I'm sure it drove you nuts to see them in the playoffs instead of KC... especially without Elway. Denver is on the right track, I'm not sure KC knows which track to get on. I wonder who will be the starting RB next year when Gary, Davis & Anderson all come back "healthy". They're going to have to let somebody go.

I'm not sure what they're gonna do... I would suspect that Gary is the guy they lose. They'll try and trade him for a pick or two, a couple of 3rd and 4ths maybe.
Davis should be 100% next season and Anderson already is there. I was very happy to see him win the NFL Offensivie Rookie award. That's great! |

Terrell was supposed to be 100% this season, too. IMO, they should use Anderson as the starter and maybe use TD as the backup.

Yeah, but deep down I think most of the people on their coaching staff knew he was more at 90% when the season started. I beleive they brought him back too early.
He's had almost a full year off, so we'll see what happens. IF TD can really come back and be similar to the old TD, then you have to give him his job back. But, you have to keep Gary or Anderson for precautionary reasons. Gary will take as long as TD did to heal, so he's the odd man out here. |

MHM see's it the way I do, I would also add that TD's injury now is different then the one from last season, currently a stress fracture is what it hobbling him now.
Though I would not hold my breath that TD is every what he was. |

MHM:
Actually, it didn't drive me nuts that Denver made the playoffs instead of KC - it drove me nuts that KC, because of p!ss-poor coaching, didn't make the playoffs. This had nothing to do with Denver - as you may recall, THE CHIEFS SWEPT DENVER. I was happy to see Denver get in, because I knew EXACTLY what would happen to them when they did - an embarrassing slaughter on the national stage (very reminscent of the Chiefs game a couple of weeks ago). I'm sure that drove YOU nuts. As I told Donkey Doo, none of you have any right to come here and talk shit. THE CHIEFS OWN DENVER! Your playoff road did NOT go through KC, and because of us you lost the division, hosting a playoff game, and the bye. Pretty sad that a 7-9 losing team stuck that dagger through your heart, hmmm? |

Come on... I've got all the right in the world.
When I said "it must have driven you crazy", I was referring exactly to the point that KC swept Denver, yet KC was still sub .500 and not in the playoffs. As well, Denver was back in the playoffs for the first time in the post Elway era. As far as predicting a Bronco loss to the Ravens, I don't think you were going to far out on the limb there. Back when Denver secured the playoff spot, I said that I wasn't expecting much (explaining why I didn't want to see Griese come back too soon). KC has had great success over the last 2 years... against Denver. Yeah, we let the division slip this year, just as KC did last year. Oh well! The offseason should be interesting, and I wouldn't expect KC to continue sweeping Denver, so enjoy it while you can. Sounds like it's the only thing you guys can brag about. :D [This message has been edited by Mile High Mania (edited 01-02-2001).] |

Actually, I DO look for KC to continue sweeping the Donx. And I still think you guys should take your dominance talk to the Oakland board. Whatever your guys did to win, they didn't do it to the Chiefs.
After the San Francisco loss I pretty much wrote off the season for the Chiefs - kind of saw the handwriting on the wall when we got so thoroughly dominated by a bad team. When you lose hope, pain don't hurt so much. On a personal note, MHM, my abject and admittedly semi-psychotic hatred of Denver sometimes makes my posts aimed at their fans a bit harsh. I mean no disrepect to you personally. Unlike some of your Donx bretheren who post here, you seem like a decent guy. But that doesn't mean I'll EVER have anything good to say about your shit-sucking team. :D Have a nice day! Frazod Have I ever mentioned that I hate Denver? |
