Senior Bowl?

Anybody get to see it? I started surfing the tv for it and couldn't find it. Then I started looking on ESPN.com, CBSsports.com, etc. No mention of the game, only the practices.

Then I went to the NFL.com and figured it out. What a bunch of crap. I hate the NFL network and I don't even have it. The other sites couldn't even talk about the game or what time it started?

Anyway, did anybody see it? Anyody have any thoughts to share about who performed well and who didn't?

I was there. Cold & Wet. The game sucked. Only four good things happened and they were all before the opening kickoff.

In the past you would get a ton of commercials all week on ESPN so you were excited about the game and knew when it was on. Plus, during the week leading up to the game practices were televised in the afternoon. Then the game itself, I've had a hi-def TV since 2005 and the game on ESPN was in Hi-Def both years, plus the announcing team included Mel Kiper with his quick analysis of every player.

This year, I didn't have a clue the game was on because I quit watching the NFL Network two weeks ago. However, with Comcast digital cable you can scan through every channel up to 7 days into the future and set reminders. On Friday I found the game listed for Saturday 4:00 on NFL Network Channel 275, so I set a reminder.

Now Saturday rolls around, first off, it's not in hi-def. During the season the Thursday night games on the NFL Network were in hi-def, they were on channel 256 and the regular broadcast was on 275. After the season ended, Comcast took down channel 256, so I'm scanning the lineup looking for a hi-def broadcast and there isn't any and the announcing crew doesn't mention it. The annoucing team is Rich Eisen who is a generic play-by-play guy, Dick Vermeil who admitted he didn't know much about the players and Mike Mayock (sp), who knows too much and never stops talking. By the end of the 1st quarter the North is killing the South, who under the leadership of Mike Nolan appears to be completely enept so I turn off the game and go back to what I was doing before. I hate the NFL Network as well.
