Why is pee...
...always blue in commercials?
Whether it is a diaper commerical, or now pregnancy test commercials, the pee is always depicted as blue.
I understand wanting it not to look like actual pee, but how did the industry standard become blue?

If I had to guess, I'd say because it's the brightest color that doesn't resemble an actual body waste product, and therefore shows the most contrast against a white diaper/pregger test background when being absorbed or whatever...

Just a guess....

blue is a calming cool, soothing color.

Yellow - like real pee
clear - like real pee when you've been drinking alot of cheap beer.
Red - warm color, scare the audience
orange - to close to red on one side of the spectrum and yellow on the other side.
purple - meh, that's too royal of a color
Green - yellow and blue mix.

Blue is the perfect choice. I hadn't ever really paid attention to it before. Interesting.

The authorities believe it is preferable that Americans develop an appreciation for alternately colored urine because one side effect of an injection of mind-controlling, alien DNA (usually included in a free flu shot), is blue pee.
