Should/Could Brodie Croyle start this year???

Should-No not yet at least I dont think he is ready yet. He is phenomenal and will be a great addition tot eh organization, but I don't think he is ready yet.

Could- Well probaly If trent goes to Miami, Houston, or wherever he chooses he would become the number 1 man in KC but, if he stays in KC he will have to compete for the top spot.

So that is what i think should/could happen with Brodie Croyle

Unless he craps down his leg in the preseason he should start.

The Gretz article leads me to believe the Chiefs want him to start and I think it will happen. Huard will only start if Croyle isn't ready and Green doesn't fit in the picture anymore.

I want him out there.

I'd love to see him start if he is ready, but I still want wins and if that means huard has to start so be it...but I'm pulling for Croyle

Open competition in training camp and preseason. We'll find out.

LJ can look forward to stacked boxes until Croyle hits Hannon on a 90-yard TD pass.

Yeah, I'd let him start all year. Worse case scenario, if he sucks, you end up getting a high draft pick and you take Brohm.

Yes.

I feel like we'd just be wasting time with Huard.

He's a journeyman QB who has shown he can play good but we're never going to go to the SB with him.

I want to find out if Croyle is the future or if we need to keep looking. Why wait?

Worst case scenario is he gets blasted and injured.........seeing as it's been a recurring theme throughout his career.

Im going with Huard for the 07 season. If Huard takes a shit then throw Brodie to the wolves. If he does good, sweet, if not good draft pick. WIN WIN

My preference would be that Trent, Huard, and Croyle compete for the starting position during camp. Assuming, of course, that Trent is still on the team. If Trent beats them out, fine. If not, he would be a fabulous mentor and example for Croyle.

I see nothing wrong with this plan except that Croyle may not get game experience which would be helpful if he is, indeed, our future at that position.

Of course, under our new, simplified offensive system, all you really need to be able to do is hand off, throw the dump pass, and avoid the fumble when you're sacked.

I agree. But don't you think Herm will lean towards Trent even if he plays like shit in camp? I say this because I remember him saying Trent will be starting QB next year. We all know about Herm's ego
