I don't get it....I understand he was voted as a captain. Yet Herm is saying they don't know who the starting MLB will be.

I might be misunderstanding this but!

“It’s kind of a work in progress. But we’ll decide who the starters are. We have an idea on who two of them are, the third we really don’t know yet. We’ll have to decide by gameday, but we’ll dress five or six of them and they’ll all participate and play.”

They could have, maybe they are doing that as we speak. It doesnt bother me much that he's on here. He's a decent back up.

Seems odd the back up free safety is named a captain too. Isn't McGraw a second stringer?

I think he's considered the special teams captain.

The captains are chosen by the team. We're not in practice, we're not in the locker room and we don't see who the true leaders are behind the scenes.

If the players chose Pat Thomas, the starting MLB to be a team captain, it gives me hope that he's going to be a team leader and hopefully leader on the field.

I think it's agood idea: 1 because we don't have a better option for a backup, and 2 Nappy Hairris will be trying to prove something every time he's on the field.

There were a couple of LBs on waivers. If they were young and had some potential, I'd rather them be here than Harris.

He's more Captain of special teams than anything else.
