Here's what I'm looking at tomorrow.
Ain't even gonna chance trying the first ferry off the island in the morning.. Probably won't get back home tomorrow night.

Wind warning in effect.

Tonight: Increasing cloudiness. 60 percent chance of flurries overnight. Wind northwest 30 km/h becoming south 20 this evening then southeast 40 gusting to 70 overnight. Temperature rising to minus 3 by morning.
Wednesday: Day: Cloudy. Snow and blowing snow beginning in the morning changing to rain showers in the afternoon and ending late in the day. Snowfall amount 10 cm. Rainfall amount 2 to 4 mm. Wind southeast 40 km/h gusting to 70 increasing to 60 gusting to 80 except gusting to 100 along parts of the coast late in the morning and early in the afternoon. Wind becoming southwest 50 gusting to 80 in the afternoon. High 6.
Night: Cloudy. Wind west 70 km/h gusting to 100. Low minus 6.

I was fascinated with the book "The Perfect Storm". Where are you located in relation to everything that occurred? I remember a reference to the Grand Banks, but it's been a while since I've read it.

During that storm I was living in Southwestern NS. "Barrington Passage" to be prescise. I remember it well.
It was south west off my deck

Cold about 30 here in beautiful SeKansas .. Droping to about 8 or 9 tonight .. Better stoke the fire and call in the dogs, its gonna be frosty in the morning ...

It was 88 degrees where I live today (it's always a warmer in our little canyon). Taking the poochies on a 2 mile walk which is mainly uphill was pretty brutal.
