Now I realize this is just stats thrown up by ESPN and has nothing to do with the actual Chiefs organization but I thought it was funny that they listed him as a Chief with the #16.

I don't think we will be taking the retired # of Lenny the Cool out for Matt Cassel to wear.

Joe Montana didn't even get considered for that and IIRC he couldn't use #3 either because it was retired as well so he opted for #19 because #3 was college jersy and #16 was his pro jersey with SanFran.

KCChiefs.com has him listed as #0 so I guess it's still up in the air what Cassel will be wearing?

BTW the atricle this was part of was pretty interesting as well

You know, I really question Pioli's judgement as a GM if he refuses to let the media/fans know about what's going on. Cassel has had more than a week to decide this number of his. It shouldn't take this long.
