Post your "Hindsight being 20/20" draft

Now that it's over, what would you have done this offseason if you were in Scott Pioli's shoes?

I think it's obvious I wouldn't have traded a 2nd round pick for Matt Cassel, and this looks a metric shit-ton better on paper than what transpired this weekend.

3) Mark Sanchez

34) Take your pick: Rey Maualuga/Clint Sintim/Everette Brown

67) Jarron Gilbert

102) Take your pick: Sammie Lee Hill/Lawrence Sidbury

139) Fenuki Topou

175) Matt Slauson

212) AQ Shipley

256) Dannell Ellerbe

If I knew the Chiefs were going to jump into the 34 right away, the first move I would have made as GM was go for Chris Canty in free agency.

This.

Or even Igor Olshansky.

It's not like we didn't/don't have the cap space.

Instead, we take a 5 technique at #3 overall - kinda like taking a guard or right tackle in the top half of the first round - a huge lack of value considering you can fill those positions much later in the draft.

Let's just say that I'm glad I was at a wedding during the draft....because that shit was pretty bad. My draft is based on not trading for Cassel or Vrable.

#67 - Jarron Gilbert - DE - San Jose State
#102 - Lawrence Sidbury - OLB/DE - Richmond
#139 - Fenuki Tupou - OT - Oregon

If the Cassell trade hadn't happened the board would have likely looked much different than the one we saw after the first few picks. The same players that were available in our spots this weekend would not always have been there. Just sayin'.
