Kawika Mitchell sounds off on Larry Johnson

In 2003, the Chiefs picked running back Larry Johnson in the first round of the draft. In round two, the Chiefs selected linebacker Kawika Mitchell.

They spent four seasons as teammates. Mitchell now plays for the Bills; he tore an ACL earlier this year, and he is on injured reserve.

Via Twitter, Mitchell offered some strong comments about his former teammate, who was cut today by the Chiefs.

"LJ doesn't respect women so I have no thoughts about him really," Mitchell said. "People like that r nothing. At 1 point we were boys."

Johnson currently is subject to the waiver system. If unclaimed by 4:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday, he'll become an unrestricted free agent.

Mitchell would be a welcome player here. Had a good work ethic and was a better player than people gave him credit for. Great? No. A guy you want on your team though? Yes. He got a ring too.

Not saying we would be world beaters, but we would be a better defense today if we still had Mitchell, Fugita and Allen.

I would be shocked if anybody actually claimed LJ. He'll hit (literally) the open market.

I agree with his thoughts as well. Someone who treats women this way does not deserve even the most basic respect.

I think I mentioned this a few months ago. Most people disagreed about Mitchell and Fujita. But its not like we could be any worse!
