Betancourt will have zero errors at home this year

So I was at the Royals game yesterday. There was a runner on first with nobody out. Fairly routine ground ball in the hole at shortstop. Betancourt takes two steps to his right, tries to backhand the ball, and boots it. Everybody safe.

There was a big E6 flashing on the scoreboard because it was an obvious error. Later in the same inning Betancourt boots ANOTHER grounder, only this time he recovered quickly enough to throw out the runner at first.

The Royals have the worst ****ing shortstop in baseball in their starting lineup with Mike Aviles sitting on the bench. It makes no ****ing sense.

After the game I heard on the radio that the official scorer changed the error to a hit, and it really just kind of pissed me off. You'd think a major league shortstop would be able to take two steps to his right and backhand a ball. And you'd think the official scorer would have the stones to call it an error and not be a pussy about it later. My guess is that Dayton Moore won't allow any errors to be scored against his guy.

Betancourt sucks. Dayton Moore sucks.
