So I take it that Stanzi is injured?

Surely the Chiefs would want to get Stanzi some work if he was healthy.

I see it more like they wanted to see more of Palko to decide if they need to find another #2 before the season.

Question answered.

Or they were giving Palko all the reps he could get in case Cassel can't go week 1.

Maybe they're trying to sneak Stanzi on to the PS.

I said it in the game thread when you posted this but it got lost pretty quick with all the posting.

If you think Pioli and Haley give a shit what the fans think you are wrong.

If you think the players on the team want to go into the season with an untested rookie QB you are wrong.

Fans can't start a QB controversy. It wouldn't matter if Stanzi came in and won the game going 20 -20 and 2 Td's. There would be no controversy except here, meaning no controversy.

You give too much credit to what you and CP thinks when it comes to actual decision making and what most fans think.

Yea, almost wish that was the case. Unfortunatly I think they are planning on using him incase Cassel goes down in regular season and only wanted him get as manny reps as possible. The worst part is we missed out on seeing Stanzi in action. Inexcusable for not giving Stanzi the opportunity.

I have to say, I haven't been following this place close enough... I definitely missed the moment where Stanzi became the messiah he's being treated like tonight. And I like what I've seen from him, he seems very composed in the pocket considering we aren't pass blocking anyone for crap.

There was never going to be any controversy though. He could've played with the starters tonight, there was never going to be any controversy. Maybe next year. He's a 5th round pick playing after a short training camp. You could've called that one on draft day though. We could draft a QB in the 7th round and we can't make it through 4 preseason games without some drummed up controversy. I cannot imagine if we ever drafted someone like Luck. People would literally be going insane.

You're wrong, it was to not create a controversy

It's just a damn shame. That the best looking (didn't say currently the best) and most composed QB on our roster is the 3rd stringer. It also makes me wonder if he'll get a fair shake next year if he starts to REALLY make Cassel look pathetic.
