What would give you hope that is also realistic?

We all know Pioli is staying. Clark won't fire him at this point. I think Pioli is probably a decent football guy, but not as good as advertised and is 100% to blame for the lack of depth. I'd rather Haley be able to finish what he started with a healthy club and better QB...but I'm pretty sure he's not going to be retained. Any talk of Clark being the problem is futility - he's the owner. He's not going anywhere.

So...knowing Pioli is probably staying and Haley is probably gone, what are the realisitic fixes for this organization/team that would also give you hope going forward?

I think Haley stays too. Just my personal feeling no crystal ball here. I also believe it has mor to do with GM than coach. That said, I think they all get another shot. Hope they get some O-line help and a servicable QB in the offseason.

I think the only realistic thing I can hope for is Romeo to take the job.

Before some of you begin to fame me, I say that only because I think it's a two man race. I think Scott is only interested his old buddies of Crennel & McDaniels.

So Romeo is the lesser of two evils the way I see it.

Yeah...and I think this is actually realistic. Clark is on record as saying he wants the Chiefs to draft and develop their own QB. Pioli should want to comply, I would think. My only hope is that they'll wait until the 2nd round if the top guys aren't there. Since I don't think Pioli would draft RG3, it's really just a matter of whether Barkley is off the board.

bout out of hope. I suppose a proven yet not retread head coach would be a nice start. Having some balls to move up in the draft to grab RG3 would be a nice second step. Imagine if an exciting head coach candidate came here. Imagine if they had a proven offensive coordinator tutoring a young RG3. The fanbase would be electirfied.
Unfortunately, I'm afraid we will be disappointed.

Clark said that PRIOR to them dumping $60M into Matt Cassel. Clark Hunt is FOS.

Sure. But does that make it unrealisitc at this point that they would go back to Clark's original preference?

1. Clark becomes convinced that the fans and their money will bolt if they don't get a franchise QB in the first round.

2. The entire coaching staff except for Romeo Crennel is fired and replaced.

3. A franchise QB is drafted in the first round, no matter what we have to do to acquire said QB.

4. Berry, Charles, and Moeaki heal back to form.

No and No! Neither is a good option.
