I do as a matter of fact. You put a sock on and put your foot down, you can get your clean sock dirty, or wet depending on the possible situation. I do sock and a shoe , sock and a shoe.

Yeah, but even using the situation you just pointed out, that means that using the sock-shoe-sock-shoe method, your bare foot will be on the floor getting dirty and/or wet. How is that any better than getting the sock dirty?
