Just for fun, let's have a Chiefsplanet version of American Idol.

Here are the rules.

1. I'm going to give you a song.
2. Go to youtube and locate performances by cover bands for that song. They have to be cover performers who aren't famous.
3. Pick the one that you think is the best, post it here, and you will be that performer's sponsor. If someone else beats you to it, they get the performer and you need to find another one.
4. I will accept the first 16 entries, and will eliminate any joke entries. Serious entries only.
5. We will have a tournament to pick the winner. The winning sponsor gets rep or something. I don't really care. But it'll be good.

I was pondering whether to do a song (e.g., Seven Bridges Road) or a performer (e.g., Elton John) or just say any cover. I thought it would be better to do one song so we could hear different arrangements and voices, and see how they differ.

The premise is too easy due to the search function on youtube or any other site.
You might have a more interesting competition with the preformer approach.

I don't know how you could narrow this down to 16 serious entries.
BTW - The Lounge seems to be deserted at the moment. This could be the result of Survivor Planet or a Zombie Apocalypse.
