That shit is impossible to listen to. It's a "true fans" wet dream show though.

The guy works for the team exclusively and is the voice of the Chiefs. Of course he's going to be a homer, it's his job.

Well it's embarrassing and awful radio. I'd rather listen to a RACIN BOYS segment with Kevin Kietzman while having my testicles sawed off with a rusty saw as opposed to listen to that shit.

Holthus the type of announcer to get way excited about a 7 yard gain.
What in the world would he say if we made it to the Superbowl? If we won the Superbowl on a last second Hail Mary?? ![]() |

As good as Holthus is at play by play, he’s equally as awful at hosting his own show. He’s really good at just reacting, but this scripted stuff is unbearable. I posted something years ago on here about his show. I’ll see if I can dig it up...

And look I get that its really only for the extreme homers but man, when he says those phrases it really is like he is talking with little kids.
If you are an adult and went there and had any common sense, I mean ANY common sense, it would drive you crazy. I just wish someone would tell him to get rid of those catch phrases he uses, they are so bad its almost criminal. |

He’s almost as embarrassing to have as a chiefs radio guy as the old guy that used to do the Steelers games.
Like, other fans must hear highlights on NFLN with Mitch and think the same thing I do when I hear the old Steelers dude. Mitch is so played out. Rollerblades are more in vogue
