One thing I noticed is that KU was not crashing the offensive boards. WTF? It's like they were trying hard to get back on defense. I didn't think SIU wanted to fast break.

I noticed also that KU would put the ball up and start running for the other end. Not very aggressive on rebounds.

Yes, that is exactly what I'm talking about. We should be dominating them on the glass.

Yep. I think that's the key to the 2nd half. I think we need to stay big just so we can secure the rebounds because SIU has way too many 2nd chances. The problem is that if we have two or three big men on the court at the same time, SIU's defense has a better chance at scoring a steal.

agreed ...... that's why i think Collins has to run the point

he is fast enough to do it without much help. Self just needs to tell him to stay under control and be a little more patience.

go big ..... pound it inside early

The real question, to me, is can SIU keep up this pressure without getting worn out?

You're either in shape to run, trap and pressure teams 30 feet from the basket or you're not. Playing against A-level talent or C-level talent doesn't affect that.

SIU is.

SIU is.
But it matters if the other team is deep enough to constantly sub in fresh guys. I'm not making a judgment here, just asking a question.
