Let's break down his game as if we have him on tape telling fans, presumably, to "shut the **** up."

We need a legit QB. This much is clear. If he's available when the Chiefs pick in round 1, do you pull the trigger?

No bullshit responses like, "Pioli won't do it."

He traded for Cassel--this move speaks for his level of competency. You're in charge. What do you do?

Summary: Jimmy Clausen is a franchise quarterback. He has carried the spotlight since he was a teenager and has surpassed the hype. He has an outstanding skill set with the elite intangibles you see in the great quarterbacks. Clausen isn't fazed by tense situations and has great leadership when the game is on the line. He puts in the hours to be a great quarterback and you see it on tape. Clausen will likely be the first quarterback drafted and is a projected top-five draft pick.

Player Comparison: Kurt Warner. Warner and Clausen both exhibit the same three-quarter release, they get the ball out quickly, and are extremely decisive/intelligent quarterbacks. Clausen has a stronger arm.

Oh so true. We're at a point where it's time to get the QBOTF, and get him hardwired to the program NOW while Casshole fulfills the rest of his painful, ROR-irritating, front-loaded destiny, hopefully leading to a nice, cushy ride on the bench sooner rather than later.

And getting our QBOTF now (and a slot WR, ideally) allows us to focus on a great WR class next year in round 1.

Matt Cassel is due a $7.5 million option bonus before the 2011 season. If he has another bad year - if the Chiefs are drafting No. 3 overall, he definitely did - then he will be released. Kansas City will then do what it should have done in the first place - draft a franchise signal caller early in the first round (Mark Mother****ing Sanchez YouDumb****ingTrueFans, 2009).

I'm torn on this because I hate the thought of waiting another year for a QB but Locker, Gabbert, Luck, and Mallett has the potential to be one of the best QB classes in years.

I personally would like to wait another two years and see if you'd have a class that might include Gabbert, Luck, Barkley, and Jacory Harris (assuming Gabbert and Harris stay and Barkley and Luck leave early), but we don't really have that option.

again hamas i didnt intentionally ignore anything. you would rather have a shot at the guys who may be available next year. so you are for taking clausen just to take a shot on a first round qb. i understand we may not have a shot at gabbert but we could take a chance and try to trade up you know.
