Because the few I read that from were idiots on Chiefs blogs who weren't familiar with him, and when they saw ESPN list him as a "DE," they assumed that meant "DE/OLB" instead of DE/DT.

I think we need a DE more than we need a NT. Edwards played every snap pretty much, and our D was the the field more than it should have been on top of that.

Just because Gillberry is trying to be an everydown player doesn't mean he is. We NEED a DE incase Dorsey or Jackson get hurt, because Gillberry isn't it, and like you say about Powe, Bailey is just a rookie(and more of a project than Powe). Franklin and Powe is fine at NT. A hell of a lot better than Edwards and Kenny Smith

So Le'Ron McClain and the Kansas City Chiefs? Let's lay out all the free agency reports and rumors we have so far.

Earlier this week, Aaron Wilson of National Football Post reported that, if McClain doesn't re-sign with the Baltimore Ravens, the Chiefs will have interest. It was our first free agency rumor of the year.

Last night, 610 Sports' Nick Wright noticed that McClain started following on Twitter the Chiefs PR department, Josh Looney and a couple of other Chiefs-related Twitter folks. Of course, that doesn't mean he's coming to KC but it was noteworthy.

In the last hour, a league source told me to keep an eye out for a potentially interesting signing. Very ominous and no details on what that meant. Again, we don't know what it means but it's noteworthy.

Moments ago, Wilson tweeted: "Still hearing the Chiefs for FB Le'Ron McClain, but nothing imminent."

All rumors at the moment but they're certainly interesting. Like NT Aubrayo Franklin, McClain's name hasn't been all over the news linking him to multiple teams so we really don't know what's up with him.

The Chiefs can officially sign players this evening.

Another one wtf nick wright didnt break it.........How about some love for chiefsplanet

Q: Allen Bailey had a quote from before the draft that he was most comfortable on the end in a 4-3 defense. Obviously you play a 3-4. Where does he project?

PIOLI: “We’ll see. Where we see him probably making the greatest contribution initially is as a role player in sub-situations and being an inside pass rusher in sub-situations and upgrading our inside pass rush. From there, I think that’s what we have to figure out – whether he’s going to be strong enough, stout enough to play defensive end or is he a person like what happened with LB Mike Vrabel when he came out of Ohio State when he was close to 280 pounds and got skinny and became an outside linebacker. I think initially we feel that he can come in and contribute in our sub-situations and we’ll take the rest from there and figure out exactly where he’s going to go.”

Just internalize it. Pat yourself on the back, knowing that you did the work. It sucks, but you're/CP's never going to get any credit for it.

Thanks for the clarification.

So the immediate plan is to plug him along the interior and see where he goes from there.

No one's going to give CP credit for shit. We're damn near blackballed out of the Chiefs community because our members shit on everyone, talk about non-Chiefs stuff 80% of the time, and because we link people's stuff and send no traffic to the people we link to.

Sucks, but them's the cards. Go to AP if you want credit for something you've broken.

Welker abused Aso a couple years back.

Everyone is saying on the Jets board that Revis abused Ocho a year or two ago.

I still can't believe that the f'n Jets got out from under their salary cap woes by having them all swept away by the new agreement.
