This is a very good list Mr. Micjones. I believe if we could get one of each we would be a playoff contending team and repeat div winner! Man, I am sooo ready for some football!

I don't think Columbo would be an improvement over Richardson. And he already signed with Miami.

Yep, if a rb has 'it', its usually evident right away.

I hope the bottom drops right out on that team, they've been the darlings for way too long.

Okoye would qualify as a bust. As would Vernon Gholston, who they signed .

Neither the Jets nor Eagles have won a Super Bowl in over 40 years, and the Pats haven't won a playoff game since Pioli left.

Good point. I'd venture to say that might change this year. We are top 5 in young talent in my opinion, so I just thought maybe 1 or 2 big free agent guys would put us over the top and make us a legitimate contender. I could be wrong though. It seems like a fair amount of good posters here disagree with me, so maybe that's a hint that I should tone down my opinions a bit.

**** that. Don't tone down your opinions.

Don't be a ****ing flip-flopper. If you have an opinion, express it. Try to back it up with facts, stats and/or evidence. But if you believe in something, stand by it.

Don't roll over because a couple people here have an issue with something you've said.

FWIW, you're not wrong at all. There's a difference between "trying to win" and "trying to win a championship."

Is Pioli trying to win in 2011? Absolutely.

Is Pioli trying to win a championship in 2011? Not by the looks of these signings. It looks more like we're trying to save money, or build through 5 draft classes before we make a legitimate run at a Lombardi.

This post sums up how I feel entirely. I'd add, but i would pretty much rehash everything that you stated. Good post.

I'll try to stick by my opinion, but I don't want to come off as a guy who constantly critiques our FO because the current regime has done a very good job of building a young core. That's a sight for sore eyes.

I think its been forgotten just how much Herm & the old regime left us... Bowe, Charles, Johnson, Hali, Flowers, Dorsey, Carr, then throw in Page & Pollard who, while not being world beaters, were both a mile above anyone else we had at that point.

The old crew didnt have the overall vision to take us all the way, but theres no question that our drafting improved by leaps & bounds when good ol Herm arrived.

Now watch n00b, someone will chime in to tell me Herm didnt do shit, it was all Kuharich or someone else, the HC had no hand in it.

Criticize when it's called for, and praise when it's called for.

Don't become another one of these guys that think Pioli can do no wrong. There's enough already.

I've been one of his biggest critics regarding 2009. He ****ed up. Big time.

However, I've been more than happy to praise him when he makes good decisions. We're building a talented young roster. That's exciting.

There's no fault in demanding excellence out of a guy with Pioli's resume. I want a GM that is going to turn over every rock and throw everything he has at winning a Lombardi for this fanbase.
