According to MLive.com's Tom Kowalski, free agent Nnamdi Asomugha wants to play for the Jets.Kowalski is a Lions reporter, but he's presumably done digging on Asomugha because Detroit has so often been connected to this year's premier free agent. That digging apparently led Kowalski to believe Asomugha wants to play in New York. There have been several other indications this is the case, so it isn't a crazy notion. If Asomugha is willing to take a discount to play in the destination he covets, the marriage could very well happen. Jul 26, 9:37 PM

Peter King reported that Asomugha prefers the Jets a few days ago.

The lions can now go after Carr and surrender a first rounder and we can get Joseph cause Emmitt Thomas and Crennel prefer him to carr and carr is from Michigan and went to Grand Valley State and he likes gunther because he cusses and drools alot.

Man if the Jets get Nnamdi, I think they'd be the team to beat in the AFC. He is the one guy that could make that defense championship caliber.
