No,Olbermann makes it clear that Butkus read the entire trip NY to LA and by his grunting didn't want to be disturbed.We also find out that the story was substantiated by two others.

Thank you. I wish Butkus could've been more forthcoming, but I understand that privacy is hard to come by for actors and former players.
