If we keep playing like this, we won't be in a position to draft Stafford. It's not good or bad, it is what it is.

With that being said, a genetic freak like Rak daddy would go a long way towards fixing the ills of this defense. He's not as long as Michael Johnson, but he's fast, explosive, and incredibly strong. Plus, he's taken boxing lessons, so Krumrie will love him with his ****tard slap-fight drill.

There could be worse selections in the 3-7 range where we will most likely choose.

Orakpo if Stafford isn't there!! This man has exactly what the scouting dept. is looking for. Motor, skill, and a lot of experience in actually playing football. Not to mention his stats this year have been very impressive. If he's not available then Johnson. Get our pass rush solidified so we can hopefully with a second or third pick up our MLB and shore up this defense.

Orakpo and Johnson both are intriguing guys for where the Chiefs are going to be picking. Can't say I'd be upset with either.

Orakpo is a physical specimen and highly productive, unlike most workout warriors. I do worry just a little bit that he might have become that physical specimen using the Shawne "roidman" Merriman method, but he's special enough to overlook it, I think.

The reason why I would consider Laurinitis is that he's a good fit for a Tampa 2 defense, and probably the closest you'll find to a Urlacher profile player. Urlacher's a much better tackler than Laurinitis, but his strength is that he covers like a safety and can drop back deep in coverage.

Remember the game where Ray Lewis was complaining because the chiefs kept getting blockers on him? That's a pretty telling statement. If MLBs are constantly squaring up against guards, that's a problem. I think he gets a bad rep for the way he played in the national championship game. He didn't play that bad. The defensive tackles played really lousy in that game.

But while he's not a physical tackler, he has a great nose for the ball, tremendous speed, and he's a good fundamental tackler. I agree that we shouldn't take him over Maualuga, but this guy is definitely worth a top 15 pick and he would be an enormous upgrade for the Chiefs.

Keep in mind that Crabtree could be a top 5 pick, so in order to get him, you'd have to stay in your spot.

The reason I'm suggesting a MLB is that you can trade down, get the top player in the class at his respective position, and then grab another first day pick to spend on another potential starter.

The question is... which would you prefer? Orakpo? Or Maualuga and Alex Mack? I'd much rather get two players for one pick than one.

Probably won't trade down. Just very unlikely. And yes, if Crabtree is the best player available at that spot, that's who I'd take.

The option will be available. Guarantee someone will want to trade up for Bradford or Oher or Albert Smith.

Remember, the Chiefs turned down a trade last year from the Saints. The chiefs made the rigth call by going with Dorsey, but it shows that teams are willing to make the move. The lower the Chiefs move in the draft, the more likely it is they'll get a trade offer.

I'd rather have more picks than take BPA in a position we don't necessarily need. A WR is really, really low on our priority list right now.

Crabtree is going to fall. He's not going to have great combine #s, and he's not going to have someone who he worked for as a ball boy (Larry Fitzgerald-Dennis Green) drafting in the top 5.

No everybody just hates TOSU, I get so tired of hearing everyone bitch about us. I have watched JL for 4 years, he is a very good MLB. If you are referencing the Northwestern game, he had a pick and I think 18 tackles, 5 for loss. He is twice as fast sideline to sideline as Rey Rey, and he is better in pass coverage. Sometimes he does have trouble shedding blocks, but it's not that often. I'm not taking anything away from Rey, he is a great player, but I think JL is better. He has been a starter for four years at a major program and he never get's hurt, Big 10 is smash mouth football, your going to be playing against run heavy offense's when it's cold and JL delivers punishment. I think JL is every bit as good as AJ Hawk was, JL is faster also.

Wow an un-biased view on an Ohio State player, bravo my friend. Very good points. Our D-line has been very shaky this year, especially when we lost Lawerence Wilson again. JL very very rarely ever misses tackles he does lay some lumber, but he isn't an Andy Katzemoyer hitter either. See every one keeps saying he disappeared in the NC, when he set the record for tackles in a game with 18 and 5 were TFL.

I don't know any OSU fans who think JL is over-rated. Rey get's way more publicity than JL does, how is he overrated, you hear more about Pryor than you do about JL.

There's a LOT of time for guys to rise and fall.

Hell, this time last year, Jarod Mayo was considered a late R2/early R3 guy.

Patriots took him in the Top 10, IIRC.
