Any one paid to have Christmas lights done?
My new house has a steeper peak then I may be willing to climb on.
I was going to do it today, but have some reserves.

What did you pay? What did you have done?

i put up mine, and our house has some pretty steep peaks. both sons say they're afraid of heights, so i get sent to put theirs up too(one lives in frickin georgia). i just want to pick the day to do it. no shitty weather. and when it's time to bring them down, i just grab and yank. piss on saving the cheap made shit. they all can buy some new ones each year.

I just throw some colored overhead projector transparencies over the lenses of our uplighting. It creates instant holiday cheer for about 5 minutes of work at $5.

You can find the colored transparencies on amazon. Just cut them to fit over the lenses of your uplights (or floodlights).

We usually have snow on the ground by Thanksgiving. I'd like to get this kind of crap done before I take my life into my own hands on a roof. I have to start the snow blower this week to make sure that it works
