That was a damn good pitcher. 2 strikes. 2 outs. Made Pujols and Edmonds look bad for their first strikes. The announcers are showing promos for the Astros/White Sox series. Nolan Ryan is on his feet. The crowd is going nuts. 1 strike and the party is on for the first time in 45 years.

I don't want to hear any more chit from Royal fans about the Cardinals choking or laying down. Any talk like that after that game is nothing but jealousy.

That shot is going to last the rest of the series. It has to effect the team. 1 strike and its a World Series and now you have to go to St. Louis where you lost 2 last year with Oswalt and Clemons pitching.

No for those networks that means you would have too much experience.


But that was a pretty good game. I have no clue why the Astros pitched to Pujols. Should have walked him and took the chance with Reggie Sanders.

The ramp and flag pole are classic features of older ballparks. The ramp is a recreation of the terrace in Crosley Field. The terrace stretched from left field to center field along the wall. Old Yankee Stadium and Tiger Stadium used to have flag poles in play.

They used to make better baseball parks in the past and I have no problem with today's venues incorporating some of the features of these lost cathedrals.

You're never going to play center field in Houston, so why do you care so much? Anything that enhances the entertainment of the game is a great move in my book.
