How does a team recover from being one strike away from the World Series and being crushed just like Pujols did that Lidge fastball? You have the former president, Nolan Ryan and 40K+ going nuts thinking your finally over the hump after 45 years and with one swing of the bat......well you know the rest

The Astros have a history of folding including last year when they were up 3-2 going to St. Louis and had Oswalt and Clemons to pitch the 2 games. How did that turn out for them? Red Sox fold after the Buckner gaf. Cards fold after Derkeingers call. Cubs fold after Barkman. Houston folded in 1980.

Theres a history of teams folding after something like this happens to them. If Houston comes back and wins they will have deserved it big time.

It wasn't intended as smack but, as long as you brought it up, the proper grammatical sentence would have been, "I'm glad that's all the smack you have today."

Gotta disagree with you on the slider thing... it didn't move much, but there was SOME lateral movement. That makes it a hanging slider...

And when you hang sliders to Pujols over the heart of the plate, the ball quickly travels about 450 feet, just as it did.

It will be interesting to see how the Astros respond... but who was surprised that they were acting like the game was already over when Lidge came in? They acted like they'd won the series the night before, after the double play.
