Do they measure from where the ball hit to home plate? If so, Pujols ball was probably about 412 like they said. The trajectory of the ball would've went much farther though.

The measurement is from the back tip of home plate to the spot the ball impacts.

Actually there is no uniform standard. Some stadiums measure from home plate to where the ball stops, other use technology to estimate how far the ball would've traveled had it not hit an object. I'm sure Houston's measurement was to the point where the ball hit the window. I'm 100% sure of it. Of course if that window was open that might have been a 475-500 foot homer. In St. Louis that's what it would've been measured at because they estimate the total distance if I am not mistaken.

Nah. It woulda hit the highrise across the street before it made it that far.

I've pretty much resigned myself to this one being over. Mulder's a fucking choke artist. I was pissed when we traded Haren for him (Haren, if you remember, was the ONLY Cardinals pitcher who didn't suck ass in the World Series last year). Between him, Third Out Jim and Hitless Larry, I'm pretty sure we're fucked. Albert can't do it alone.

Of course, I'm also pretty sure that the winner of this series is going to get pulverized by the White Sox, so I guess it doesn't really matter.
