These past two Cards teams were clearly the best in baseball. If he can't win with these teams, then that is a reason for fans to be upset with him. Barring divine intervention, the Astros are going to win. Despite that, the Cards are probably the better team, and should have won the series.

There were lots of articles last year during the WS that depicted LaRussa as a very keyed up individual, and it showed in the way his team played. (Larry walker tagging and getting thrown out at home by ..Chuckle... guffaw... snort... Manny Ramirez.)
