2014 NLCS. Three wins from another WS appearance

  • Made the postseason 10 times in the last 14 seasons.
  • Only 1 losing season since 2000.
  • Reached the World Series 4 times since 2004 and won as many championships (two) the past eight seasons as it did from 1965 to 2005.
  • Made the NLCS 9 times including the last 4 years 2011-2014
  • Three million attendance? Take it to the bank.
  • 65 post season wins since 2004. 22+ wins more than any other team.

Apart from the fact that age makes a HUGE difference in projecting major league ability. Comparing Piscotty at 24 to Scruggs at 27 is wildly unfair, especially when Piscotty has shown exceptional growth this year. Moreover, knocking down a groundball at 3b means an error. Knocking down a groundball at 1b means an out. Quit overselling the difficulty of playing 1b - you literally have to do nothing more than put your body in front of the baseball, pick it up and get 15 feet before the opposing batter can get 90.

You're right - no need to even ****ing TRY. We should totally roll with Scruggs and Reynolds. It's working out aces to this point.

And by the end of the year, I believe the fact that Piscotty has shown an advanced command of the strike zone even going back to his days at Stanford will mean that he's giving us quality ABs pretty much every time out there.
