Made the postseason 10 times in the last 14 seasons.
Only 1 losing season since 2000.
Reached the World Series 4 times since 2004 and won as many championships (two) the past eight seasons as it did from 1965 to 2005.
Made the NLCS 9 times including the last 4 years 2011-2014
Three million attendance? Take it to the bank.
65 post season wins since 2004. 22+ wins more than any other team.

Of late, yeah.

I was actually less excited about Diaz when I saw what we were able to sign him for. Early reports were that he was a possible/likely long-term replacement for Jeter and the Yankees were hard after him.

Next thing I know we sign him for less than a lefthanded reliever and the Yankees didn't even make him an offer. I figured the workouts must have gone pretty poorly.

That said, he got to Spring Training last season right before I left so I got to see him for 3 or 4 days. He looked a lot like a RH Greg Garcia. He wasn't playing much defense during the drills but he looked steady enough. Admittedly it was hard to get a feel for his range.

He had mostly just doubles power but got into a couple here and there. He just looked like a solid, steady little linedrive hitter. He had a compact stroke that didn't seem to have many holes in it but again, it was BP so it was hard to say.

I'd have been certain he was a possible utility player in the next 3-4 years. He just really hasn't developed at all.

This umpire is for shit. You have to pitch it down the middle or its not a strike.

But we have left a lot of runs on the bases. Carp failed us twice.

I didn't even see the hit live. Just got done watching a documentary on the history of General Tso's chicken on Netflix, saw the score on ESPN, and was watching the top of the 9th on Gamecast.

All of a sudden at the bottom of the Cardinals' box score pops up HR: Peralta (12). Then, the score changes. Then, "Ball 4: In play. Peralta homers to left, Kozma scores," and the yellow dots danced around the base paths.

Maddon is a good manager but the way he is ****ing around with Hector Rondon directly led to this.

Rondon is an outstanding closer and he has one bad outing and Maddon makes him a swing man. He's not given up a run in over a month but Maddon still won't put him back in the 9th. It's just bizarre.
