Like DJ said from the very start, Hayward extends his arms he will return to his rookie year numbers.

Adams had no business batting 4th. He was in a 1-40 slump. He has never earned that 4th spot. He had 2 previous AB's with runners in scoring position and missed 90 mph flat fastballs in the middle of the plate at least 6 times.

We can't have an everyday first baseman that hits .220 with 12-15 homers a year.

Having a shitty cleanup hitter must be the norm these days. The Cubs keep batting Castro 4th, he has the lowest OPS on the team by 60 points.

Adams has too good of a track record to hit.220.

He could hit .280 with 20 homers and a high OPS and be just dandy.

Being able to go with Grichuk, Bourjos, and Heyward in the OF late in games is going to be a huge plus.

I'll put it this way.

It's not that I don't like the strategy, double switches, bunting etc. I do. I grew up playing baseball that way and it does seem more "baseballish" to me.

But, the whole "thats the old way it's played" mantra is just worn out for me. I know that seems like I'm talking out of both sides here, so either way I guess.

Meh. It is fun playing with a DH as an NL team just because you get to see another hitter in the lineup you dont always see but that's kind of the point.

One thing never discussed in the differences between the right way to play baseball and the DH is that with a DH it also makes lineup decisions much easier where as in the NL getting your bench and platoon guys more time and when and how to do it is more strategic. (Meaning its just harder to manage, challenging, bigger impact).

I dont even understand why AL teams have managers.

Most NL managers tend to overmanage though.
