That's my major concern/complaint with Sandbox right now.

For a QB, we know when they're underperforming. Lineman? Nope. LBs? Nope. It's really hard to know if my LG is getting abused routinely because he's underperforming. So you kinda have to guess and w/ the season being only 16 games and w/ no halftime adjustments, any of those experiments are largely born of desperation.

There is so much fog on these rosters that we can't see through. I really hope that that gets ironed out sooner or later so we can get more feedback and adjust lineups accordingly.

Rain Man has been pushing for some kind of idea of how non-skill players are contributing for at least a year. We'll likely do something about that before next simulation season, though there will always be some fog of war in Sandbox, because that is the way the NFL is.

Yes and no.

There's film; the eye in the sky don't lie. I can look at a player and know if he sucked. So no, when it comes to individually evaluation a player's performance, there's not a lot of fog there.

I'm glad I got my loony gameplan out of the way the first time I played Cedar Rapids.

I played this one how I'd play a more balanced offense instead of selling out and my defense absolutely abused him. Cedar Rapids didn't even really sniff the scoreboard in this game.

My defense absolutely dismantled them when I stopped trying to be cute with it.

I gave up an asston for CJ Spiller and Wes Welker and Tyson Clabo this offseason and they all sucked rabbit ass in this game.

At this point I have to hope that Jason Peters returns to form in 2013, because I am at a ****ing loss for this stupid scrappy little Anchorage team.

Even watching film, there can be honest disagreements in the NFL who the best guard is during a given season. If you asked 10 different NFL GMs to rank the best 20 guards, you'll get 10 different answers, some widely different. You get tiers of players and that is about as good as you will be able to define things, and even then there is disagreement. Then there is week to week variation. In Sandbox you will never be provided with a list of all the starting guards ranked 1-48. You won't see ratings for strength, speed, agility. You'll know player x made 3 key blocks in the run game, got beat 2, allowed 1 sack and 2 pressures, etc. All of those numbers are context specific, depending on opponents, formations, the RB, the QB, and stochastic variation. There is always fog.
