Chargers have real shot to win it all, finally

Looks like the SDSPM is at it again. WOW!

http://www.sandiegouniontribune.com/...hampions-acee/

It is possible the Chargers saved the best for last.

Come the first Sunday in February, we might not know whether to raise a toast or cry in our beer. Maybe we’ll do both.

It’s not preposterous to believe we could get the opportunity to find out.

We’re three days into training camp, so this isn’t a prediction.

What it is, is the best perspective that can be gleaned at this point. It’s a spectrum of possibility. It is legitimate hope, and it is prudent realism.

The Chargers, in what may well be their final season in San Diego, can be a good team. A playoff team. A Super Bowl team.

We’re not saying they are a good team because, well, we know better. Fool us once, shame on you. Fool us a few dozen times, shame on us.

We’ve seen promise unravel, at various times, in a steaming pile of historically bad special teams, seemingly infectious injuries, ridiculous penalties, overconfidence and Marlon McCree.

But, really, this Chargers team has the potential to be what no Chargers team has ever been before

You don't. You are just a shitty troll. Drink bleach bitch.
you ok, you need some more cherry koolaid bro? It's not like the Chargers didn't do some stuff in the off season too, they drafted a great young RB and you know they will run the ball.

Lol. That's about all they did. Did they do as much to get better as the Chiefs did? Nope. Gates suspended for 4 games.

Whatever dude. Your just an idiot worthless troll. No one in their right mind would see what the Chiefs did in the offseason, and realizing the Chiefs swept the Chargers last year, and honestly say the Chargers are BETTER than the Chiefs.

So yes , I'm perfectly fine.

You forgot to mention the cHargers strengthened their run game with the addition of former Bronco Orlando Franklin to the OL, (revenge for signing Vasquez)

The Chargers had a hard roll last season with injuries...that said their defense isn't there yet...and your best defensive player (Weddle) is disgruntled. Both KC and Denver have them on that front. Your new running back is going to be a player going forward though...The pieces arent there in 2015. You have to have a pass rush...

what was KC's record last year? 9-7. What was SD's record last year? 9-7. So what if your team swept SD last year, that doesn't amount to anything going forward. SD is the better team for one simple reason--MUCH better QB.

You know what Rivers does? He throws TD passes to WRs. Can't say the same thing about Smiff.

I have an acute knowledge of the Chargers weaknesses and the lack of a proven pass rush is near the top of the list.

The main problem is that the Chargers have a lot of hope in a lot of players who've missed a lot of time due to injury.

This is particularly bad on the defensive side of the ball. Some examples would include:
OLB Ingram
OLB Attaochu
CB Verrett
ILB T'eo
CB Flowers
ILB Butler
S Addae

7 of 11 starters were either on IR, missed multiple games due to injury or played through injuries, (T'eo played through a broken foot). The DL depth was depleted through injuries. Only Weddle seemed to survive unscathed.

Ingram has missed 19 games over the past 2 seasons. When he plays he tends to make at least one game changing play per game.

On offense, Woodhead went to IR with a broken fibula in week 3, the Chargers went through 6 centers once (Pro Bowler) Hardwick went down, and Rivers was playing through a back injury towards the end of the season.

I know all teams have issues with injuries but I'd like to see what my favorite team could do as a whole for at least one game. They'd be out of bubblegum.

Rivers is a beast. Would love to have him. He had a weak stretch a couple years ago (6 ****ing kids might do that to ya lol). He is way better than the aforementioned Cutler.

It's seven kids the last time I checked.

Despite this glaring weakness, the Chiefs still swept them, and they were missing 3 starters on D. SD isn't very good, and I bet they sweep them again.

Don't you ever get tired of being wrong, lil chiefy? I still remember a few years ago when you claimed that KCs TEs were soooo much better than Denvers and I told you just how wrong you were and I mention Julius Thomas as one of the reasons the Broncos TEs were good. Remember that?

lol little chiefy, lol.
