All Royals All The Time!

After consultation with others who peruse the game threads we decided to create this as a repository for all things Royals. Minor league news, AL (ahem) Central (thanks Vonne) news and anything Royals can be found here.

alnorth, me and atleast 5 others will continue the game threads as usual. But if you locate something of interest.. ANYTHING.. deals on apparel, best ways in/out of the stadium, giveaways, great stories from this season or from seasons gone by, rumors, trades, anything.... feel free to post it here.

If a big story breaks, you can still start a thread about it. There is merely an all inclusive thread that will make a easy for us all to keep up with all things Royals.

agreed. I'm not even thinking of money, if he wants to sign we have to get it done. I'm honestly wondering given last year, 2 years ago, and this year, what is his real expected value for the rest of his career, and what is his value (possibly Cy Young inflated?) on the market? I'm wondering if the latter might not be higher than the former. I'm not saying it is, I'd just make it clear that I want the moon for Greinke, and not hang up the phone right away when people call.

Completely agree with all of this, but I'm very nervous that Moore would be the one answering the phone for KC.

Greinke should be re-signed at all costs, if these young guys pan out he will need to be apart of it to make this team a division contender

I hope Moosetacos is good but not great because if he's better than good he'll need to be paid, and we can't waste his talents.

I think the hope is that every 7 years we'll have all-stars in all 8 positions and 3 starters come up at the exact same time, win a few world series, then leave in time for the next 11 all-stars to come up from Omaha in the same year, etc rinse and repeat.

Awesome if that happens, but no. I'd still listen to trade offers in case a wild-eyed idiot wants to overpay me for our talent, but aside from that you might not keep everyone, but you have to keep some of them.

If the Rays offer something overwhelming... say, Wade Davis, Jeremy Hellickson and Desmond Jennings... I think you have to consider it.

You don't settle for anything less than that, though...

If the Rays offer that, I think it would be a huge mistake to not immediately accept it.

That IS a Herschel Walker deal. Hellickson is the best lefty in the minor leagues. Davis has huge upside. And Jennings is the best speed prospect in MiLB.

I'd run to the bank with that the second it was offered...
