2010 Kansas City Royals Repository thread
All Royals All The Time!

After consultation with others who peruse the game threads we decided to create this as a repository for all things Royals. Minor league news, AL (ahem) Central (thanks Vonne) news and anything Royals can be found here.

alnorth, me and atleast 5 others will continue the game threads as usual. But if you locate something of interest.. ANYTHING.. deals on apparel, best ways in/out of the stadium, giveaways, great stories from this season or from seasons gone by, rumors, trades, anything.... feel free to post it here.

If a big story breaks, you can still start a thread about it. There is merely an all inclusive thread that will make a easy for us all to keep up with all things Royals.

Has anyone else heard this...Fescoe was reporting this week that the Patterson's (Cerner/KC Wizards) are putting together a group to buy the Royals?

I haven't heard, but I'd love that. They've been fantastic with the Wizards.

They're not sugar daddy owners though, so it wouldn't do much on that end.

I doubt the rumor though, unless the Glass's just want out. I believe there is some clause in their buying contract that dictates the amount of profit they can make off selling the team. Not sure if that still applies.

Also, they aren't losing money on the team. Where's the incentive to sell? MLB has become pretty lucrative.

Yes, but that is what the rate of return is for dealing 2 guys who suck ass in the majors. I'm surprised you got anything for Ankiel and Farnsworth. That lefty at least has potential.

Who is in their investor group I wonder? It could be a good thing. Cardinals are ran in a similar fashion. Though if I was Glass I would just sell off half the team.

ok, that makes sense...Just take it for what it is, could be depth and possible potential, either way the royals win with ankiel and farnsworth no longer here. I would love to see a guillen waiver trade to a team, and the royals recieve a bag of balls.
