2010 Kansas City Royals Repository thread

All Royals All The Time!

After consultation with others who peruse the game threads we decided to create this as a repository for all things Royals. Minor league news, AL (ahem) Central (thanks Vonne) news and anything Royals can be found here.

alnorth, me and atleast 5 others will continue the game threads as usual. But if you locate something of interest.. ANYTHING.. deals on apparel, best ways in/out of the stadium, giveaways, great stories from this season or from seasons gone by, rumors, trades, anything.... feel free to post it here.

If a big story breaks, you can still start a thread about it. There is merely an all inclusive thread that will make a easy for us all to keep up with all things Royals.

Welcome! "Grab a Brew... don't cost nuthin"...[spills beer on feet]

Anybody with any knowledge on the subject...is Clint Robinson a decent prospect, or is he just a good minor leaguer?

Chavez with an impressive line.

2/3 of an inning. 4hits (3 doubles and a HR) 3 ER's

Fire - find it and have a seat inside the flame.

He's earned a chance at AA/AAA next season, but I'd still think of him as a low C-grade prospect. If you draw up a top-25 non-pitching prospect list, he'll be somewhere in the middle of the list.

After 3 full seasons he climbed into AA-ball, but thats still good for a 25th-round pick. He's had a good 450+ AB so maybe there's something there. Unfortunately he's a little old now, he's a 1B, and we are probably stocked with 1B/DH types but if he keeps hitting he can always be traded for something.

Neither Davies nor Hochevar are worth a ****. Neither has much value to the Royals past 2012 - which is when we should see the new crop of stud pitchers hit KC. JMHO

Thanks. It just seems like he puts up monster numbers consistently so I was curious.

Just a little more effort and the Royals can choke this one away.

Overall, I agree. I'm just saying that there are pretty regular flashes from Davies, but this isn't even close to being good enough.

Bannister, on the other hand, doesn't have the physical gifts to flash with a mirror and a Maglite.

Yeah, and guys like Davies are tricky. You can't hang onto them forever. But they're also the type of guy with good enough stuff... it wouldn't all that crazy for him figure it out at 28-30 years old and become a decent pitcher. That's exactly what happened with De La Rosa. Guy with tremendous stuff, we ran out of room for him... he figures it out at 28 years old. He's not an ace but you can put him back in the rotation and he'll go above .500 and give you a K/IP.

But that's part of what happens when we're controlling pitchers from ages 21-27.

Yep. Somewhere along the line, I think Davies is going to have a high-quality season or three.

Kyle Tantalus Davies.

Really disappointed in Moose. Anything under 10 RBI after last night's performance is just unacceptable.
