2010 Kansas City Royals Repository thread

All Royals All The Time!

After consultation with others who peruse the game threads we decided to create this as a repository for all things Royals. Minor league news, AL (ahem) Central (thanks Vonne) news and anything Royals can be found here.

alnorth, me and atleast 5 others will continue the game threads as usual. But if you locate something of interest.. ANYTHING.. deals on apparel, best ways in/out of the stadium, giveaways, great stories from this season or from seasons gone by, rumors, trades, anything.... feel free to post it here.

If a big story breaks, you can still start a thread about it. There is merely an all inclusive thread that will make a easy for us all to keep up with all things Royals.

Welcome! "Grab a Brew... don't cost nuthin"...[spills beer on feet]

Humber went another 2.1 scoreless IP with a walk and 3 K tonight. I will continue to ride the Humber bandwagon.

no clue. Hopefully nothing serious, but that line has "injury" written all over it.

The pitchcount for that 1+IP was high, but not high enough to pull him, and it was only 3 hits on him so it wasn't like he was so crappy he had to be pulled.

The U.S. Pan-Am qualifying tournament team's 24-man roster was announced today. Six Royals prospects made the team. That's a quarter of the roster, pretty impressive. Apparently that's also a record for USA baseball.

Moose, Hosmer, Duffy, Montgomery, Tim Collins and Everett Teaford. Tournament starts Oct. 1st.

After watching Pena this past week, I'm sure glad we were treated to Kendall's worthless ass most of the season.

And people wonder why many think Dayton Moore is dumb as ****.

So it's Sept. I'm at Petco Park to see my first NL game several years. The Padres after having the wheels come off in the last 15 days are 1 game up on the visiting Giants. The first player I see as I enter the ground level is none other than Jose Guillen. I yell at him: "Hey ****face! Remember me? Yea that's right I travelled 2k miles just to heckle your ass". (security moves me away). Guillen bats 5th and when he's introduced I lay into him pretty good. "Jose! You have Albert Belle's temperment and Mario Mendoza's talent". He stares at me. I laugh heartily and say: "You don't recognize me w/o my big scorebook, eh Jose"? He strikes out. In his 2nd AB he draws a bb but not before fouling a ball off his foot. I think it gave him a concussion. The ****head. I hate that guy

You don't have Willie Bloomquist to kick around anymore:

Reds acquired INF-OF Willie Bloomquist from the Royals for a player to be named later or cash considerations.

Bloomquist is batting .265/.296/.388 with three home runs and 17 RBI in 170 at-bats this season. The 32-year-old will not be eligible for the playoffs, but he's a useful utility man, capable of playing all over the diamond.
