All Royals All The Time!

After consultation with others who peruse the game threads we decided to create this as a repository for all things Royals. Minor league news, AL (ahem) Central (thanks Vonne) news and anything Royals can be found here.

alnorth, me and atleast 5 others will continue the game threads as usual. But if you locate something of interest.. ANYTHING.. deals on apparel, best ways in/out of the stadium, giveaways, great stories from this season or from seasons gone by, rumors, trades, anything.... feel free to post it here.

If a big story breaks, you can still start a thread about it. There is merely an all inclusive thread that will make a easy for us all to keep up with all things Royals.

Remember that only last year the Jays had the best pitcher of the last decade (Halladay) and he did nothing for their playoff chances. What exactly is Greinke going to do to change that in the AL East?

The word "worth" is being used in two different senses here, and you are perhaps right about only one sense.

I might be inclined to agree with you that it isn't worth it to the Jays franchise to trade for Greinke.

BUT, Greinke is worth Drabek and Snider (and more) in the abstract. Pure value wise, Greinke is worth that much in value. Greinke's value & a franchise's need for a player of Greinke's caliber are two separate things.

I never said Greinke wasn't worth more than those two (though I think you are really underrating Snider's value over the next five years, nonetheless). I said the Jays could never be expected to sell their entire future away for a pitcher that they don't have a real need for.
