All Royals All The Time!

After consultation with others who peruse the game threads we decided to create this as a repository for all things Royals. Minor league news, AL (ahem) Central (thanks Vonne) news and anything Royals can be found here.

alnorth, me and atleast 5 others will continue the game threads as usual. But if you locate something of interest.. ANYTHING.. deals on apparel, best ways in/out of the stadium, giveaways, great stories from this season or from seasons gone by, rumors, trades, anything.... feel free to post it here.

If a big story breaks, you can still start a thread about it. There is merely an all inclusive thread that will make a easy for us all to keep up with all things Royals.

I will be disappointed if we don't get more than Drabec and Snider for Greinke, though I won't be disappointed if we don't make a trade at all.

I also loved the 1985 ALCS.

Buster Onley thinks the Rangers are the best fit and some point we'll trade Greinke...

Also Tim Kirkjan (sp?) said if washington wanted him it would take ATLEAST the 2b Espinoza, Jordan Zimmerman and Drew Storen plus more

Onley said that there is no doubt we'll trade him....

GM's think we'll gradually or i assume hope we'll lower our price since its so high and well it should be damnit

I'd rather and I'm sure Greinke would agree that he be traded to someone in the NL. Preferably the Rockies. That way at least I would get to be able to watch him.

Its really nice that we dont HAVE to trade Greinke, or other clubs would have all the leverage they need to drastically lover the price.

Of course they do. Aside from a couple throw-ins to round out the deal, we're reportedly asking for two high-impact prospects ready or almost ready who play one or more of: RHP, C, 2B, SS, CF.

Several teams have what we are demanding, but there are definitely some teams (New York, for example) who lack what we would need where 3 teams would be necessary.

What are some teams that would have a good package, i keep hearing the rangers are a fit but dont have what we want. I hear the centerpiece in a trade would be a 17 year old SS

I'm not as sure that the Rangers would be a good fit. One problem we have is that the teams who might be desperate enough to go nuts aren't as good of a fit, and the teams who are a great fit might not be desperate. If something doesn't give, Greinke could possibly not be traded.

I agree. Texas is the obvious fit, and I think there is a better than 50% chance that is where he ends up.

Right now I think Moore is just trying to drum up additional interest, but Texas has the need and the high-end prospects we have to acquire.

Couple news items today.

1) Greinke has changed agents. No clue what that means for us.

2) Toronto reportedly doesn't want to give up Snider and Drabek for Greinke, and according to another GM the Royals are "asking for a lot more" than just Snider and Drabek. So, we're so enormously far apart if this is true, that a trade to Toronto could be impossible.
