This issue has been coming up in several recent conversations....that new posters and those who don't post often, don't feel welcome, or comfortable to make comment. The Offseason, when its slow, is as good a time as any, to wade into the pool.

Let me say, that prior to joining the planet(a new start) I was very uncomfortable posting at the star.....because "these internet people seem to know each other". I sort of felt like I was interupting someones conversation at a cafe or something. It took "the mike keck incident" to make me just do the cannonball into the pool. I wasn't comfortable until I had an oportunity for a fresh start, when chiefsplanet came online....and it took awhile after that.

Every poster has a story and a personality. Those who have been here a long time, probably know enough about each other's lives to scare the shit out of all of us....just from accumulation of tidbits through the years.

Ok,My name is darren,im 32 and a father of 3.I pend alot more time on the planet than most people think.I dont get much chiefs football news out here(until now,sirius sat radio rocks).so I try ti live vicariously(sp?) through you guys.I try and chime in when I can,but mostly lurk around.

Im an avid chiefs fan(have been since 91)and I watch alot of nascar.Ive been toning it down this year but, still enjoy it.(I grew up around racing,my mom and dad drag raced and I until recently drove a 358 stock sportsman D.I.R.T. car every saturday night)Now im reduced to watching my kids,spying on you guys and making custom chiefs mcfarlanes.

It's legit. Iowanian had some technical difficulty a while back and his current account is #2383, but everything else was ported from his old account.

I'm a Chiefs fan, although my football knowledge is limited. I know the rules and such, as well as some of the major players. I don't post in the actual football threads, because I feel I have nothing to offer there. Then again, what I say in other threads is generally mundane and boring as well. And, yet, here I am doing it again.

One question...when do I graduate from being a n00b? Still working on 1,000 posts.

He did he got here in 2000, that was my typo which I have now corrected.

When you click on your profile the number at the end of the URL is your member number. Your number is 537 so that makes you 537th or 522nd to join based on the missing number theory. Example both 1 and 2 are accounts opened byKyle (AustinChief), 3 through 16 are missing entirely.
