New Posters, Lurkers and Noobs...Front and Center.

I'm Iowanian and I'll be your tour guide today Please remain seated at all times while the Tram is moving, and as always, thankyou for visiting Chiefsplanet.....[/nasal crackled speaker recited speach voice]

This issue has been coming up in several recent conversations....that new posters and those who don't post often, don't feel welcome, or comfortable to make comment. The Offseason, when its slow, is as good a time as any, to wade into the pool.

Let me say, that prior to joining the planet(a new start) I was very uncomfortable posting at the star.....because "these internet people seem to know each other". I sort of felt like I was interupting someones conversation at a cafe or something. It took "the mike keck incident" to make me just do the cannonball into the pool. I wasn't comfortable until I had an oportunity for a fresh start, when chiefsplanet came online....and it took awhile after that.

Every poster has a story and a personality. Those who have been here a long time, probably know enough about each other's lives to scare the shit out of all of us....just from accumulation of tidbits through the years.

This is your Oportunity to step forward. Introduce yourself. This is a safe place. Let us get to know you, and if anyone is a prick for no reason on this thread, I'll stick my thumb in their Router.

Enjoy this comlimentary coupon for all newer posters for 1 free oportunity, after reading Iowani-commentary for years-months-weeks to sign the fan book, or tell me I'm an ________________.

Welcome.

Hi,

I am a Dip Shit on Mondays & Tuesdays.

Sane on Wednesday and Thurday,

An asshole on Fridays.

I don't waste my time on forums during the weekends. it gives me a chance to recover to Dip Shit status and spend time with my wife and 7 month old son, and two dogs.

I am not a morning person. I don't care how freaking nice a morning it is for you. Saying Good morning all giddy, makes me want to ruin your morning.

I hate cats. I won't kill one, but I have trained my dogs to chase them out of my yard.

I don't watch college sports so any opinion I give you about college players is BS.

I love a good article by Nick Athan. Fiction stories are great.

I live in California, news on the Chiefs and games on TV have always been scarce here. Pre internet days, I use to go get the Preseason issue of the Sporting news or SI and look in their prediction sections, just hoping to get some info. Even that, I would be lucky to get the obligatory paragraph where as other teams got whole essays written.

Then along comes the Satellite in 2001. Of Course, the Chiefs didn't put much together until 2003 and I naturally started getting into it more, since more info is readily available to me. After a 9-0 start, I was jonesing for any info I coulc scrounge. I found the official Chiefs website, but that wasn't enough, so I googled and found this place. If that makes me a bandwaggon jumper then fug you.

Heh, I just saw this thread for the first time and it’s apparently pretty old.

I joined June of 2k4, I'm pretty much a lurker and I visit the sight pretty much daily while I’m at work. Posted a few times and only had one person try and flame me, which means this place is pretty cool. I think my original post was to ask 4th and long for a copy of a sig that he had that was some Sexy Red Head in latex or leather, which the pictures are gone now. So my latest post will be to ask 4th and long if he still has those pictures somewhere and wouldn’t mind sending them to me if he still does, PLEASE. Sexy Red Heads FTW!!!

All in all I'm a Chiefs nut, but I live in Los Angeles so I don’t get to go to the games. Most of the time I post is when it involves the
Chiefs (hence the chiefs message board). Well see you guys around, and I will try to post more, so maybe you can get to know me a little better.

P.S. To anyone who is scared of posting who thinks the regulars here are bad. Visit this link, it's another forum board not football related. And sort of an OOT board. These people are vicious.

That is not Bandwaggoning. That is your Calling. Now if the Chiefs start to sputter and you leave for the BBD. That is Bandwaggoning. Kind of like all the sudden burst of New England Patriot fans. Or half of the St. Louis Ram fan base.

Here comes my story.

Hi, my name is Dunit35. I'm 20 years old and was born on September 23, 1985 in the hospital in Kingman, KS. I am a History major at FHSU and my minor is coaching. Some day I plan on being an American History teacher and a high school football coach. Hopefully being good enough to move up in the coaching ranks. But I doubt it.

I have been registered since Sep. 04' but didn't really post much until this past September. I mainly just lurked around reading about KC news before I realized alot of the stuff you guys talked about was pretty funny. Although always worried that I might piss someone off on here I have gotten to the point to where I post really stupid stuff that makes no sense at all.

Although I have actually only met a few of you (not sure if you remember me or not) I wouldn't mind meeting as many of you as possible someday. Besides being with family, watching KC football and drinking beer with the buddies the most fun I've had in awhile was playing football with you guys back in November. I tried my best not to make all you guys look bad on the field . That is my story.

The End.
