New Posters, Lurkers and Noobs...Front and Center.

I'm Iowanian and I'll be your tour guide today Please remain seated at all times while the Tram is moving, and as always, thankyou for visiting Chiefsplanet.....[/nasal crackled speaker recited speach voice]

This issue has been coming up in several recent conversations....that new posters and those who don't post often, don't feel welcome, or comfortable to make comment. The Offseason, when its slow, is as good a time as any, to wade into the pool.

Let me say, that prior to joining the planet(a new start) I was very uncomfortable posting at the star.....because "these internet people seem to know each other". I sort of felt like I was interupting someones conversation at a cafe or something. It took "the mike keck incident" to make me just do the cannonball into the pool. I wasn't comfortable until I had an oportunity for a fresh start, when chiefsplanet came online....and it took awhile after that.

Every poster has a story and a personality. Those who have been here a long time, probably know enough about each other's lives to scare the shit out of all of us....just from accumulation of tidbits through the years.

This is your Oportunity to step forward. Introduce yourself. This is a safe place. Let us get to know you, and if anyone is a prick for no reason on this thread, I'll stick my thumb in their Router.

Enjoy this comlimentary coupon for all newer posters for 1 free oportunity, after reading Iowani-commentary for years-months-weeks to sign the fan book, or tell me I'm an ________________.

Welcome.

I remember you. Your brother is the tall one, right? Maybe I have you guys mixed up. In any case, you're both pretty good ball players. When you guys came, that was one of the better football weekends.

FWIW, you should remove your full name from the post. You never know when that will come back and bite you. It's much better to remain totally anonymous. Take it from somebody who knows.

Yeah he is the quicker one. I always could outrun him in 40 yard sprints...he would just rule me in 20 yards...

You mean like, I have seen NO Seahawks gear here in Raider nation, NONE, that I can remember. Then on Saturday before the stupor bowl, 2 Seahawks caps?/?. Both dudes said, "we have waited 28 years for this, or some such bcrap. Everyone I talk football about here in Cali, both now, and back when I was a kid, KNOW that I like the Chiefs, whether they are teh suck, or whether they win.

When Nick Lowry missed that field goal against Miami, I had to go walk around the neighborhood for about an hour and rethink my life.

I had to put up with Raider kids growing up, giving me crap about teh suckage that the Chiefs put on the field in the 70's.

I might leave the BB, but it will have nothing to do with my love of the football team or Kansas City.

San Diego Charger fans would be a good example for you. Three years ago Charger fans were scarse. Now there is more, but when it come to money, they all sold their season tickets to Chiefs fans when we played them in San Diego.

If everything else was constant, and the Chiefs were the same distance that I drive to see the A's, I would be a season ticket holder, no doubt.

it's ok noobs,

Iowanian gets barked at a lot at work. I envision him as a "number" at some factory or whatever, his bosses enjoy yelling at him all day long every day and threaten to fire him. Then he'll go cry to the union and then when he comes home he feels like a big man on the Chiefsplanet website, and now it is Iowanian's turn to give orders and bark at people!

he'll come at ya with some smack relentlessly.........don't take it personally.
