What are you most looking forward to in Training Camp?
Is there a position battle that you want to see play out? Two rookie corners?
Is the new offense offensive? OL playing together? What are you most anxious to see? |

I'm looking for it to be over and see some actual games. There's very little more boring than watching and analyzing practice.
I've closely watched the reports from camp for 15 years. I've even watched offseason workouts. While I've no doubt training camp reports are accurate, they rarely have any impact on the actual 53 man roster or regular season. While watching rookie camp a few years back I thought Nick Reid was the real deal (and I'm no Jayhawk fan). He was amazing, size, speed, agility - making all the other players look bad. He didn't even make the team. I've followed this stuff as close or more closely than most fans for many years. I'm a slow learner. I've come to the conclusion it's a bunch of wasted time. I'll be following this camp more casually than any year before. |

I'm with Phobes.
But that being said, being so far removed from KC, I get extremely excited to see even Pre-Season games on Direct TV. So while I may not "see" what I'm looking for in personnel, coaching, etc., I'm just happy that football's around the corner. Which I just realized is contrary to what I posted. Ah, what the hell. Football's almost here! |

I'm not a Chiefs fan, but if I were, I would just be excited about the 2008 Draft Class. Wow, so many rookies, at least 2 or 3 have to pan out as very solid players for you.
You will start to see their progression this season, and you should know by season's end which rookies will be good for years to come. As for the Chargers... I'm just ready to get back into football. Any football news is good news, with the Padres blowing hard. I always get antsy during training camp and preseason though. I just want the regular season to start. |
