Concert/Music DVD's your recommendations
I thought we had a thread like this sometime ago but I'm having no luck finding it.

Anyhow,within the last year I've really gotten into music/concert dvd's and am always looking to add more to the collection.Would like to know what you have seen or own that you would recommend.

If you're even remotely an Iron Maiden fan you'd do well to pick up their Early Days DVD. It has like 4 full concerts from 1980-83, a whole DVD of interviews from everyone who ever had a part in the band/band's management, and a ton of extras like band photos, concert intineraries,promo videos ect,ect .

No Quarter: Page and Plant unplugged. Outstanding versions of LZ hits without the amps and with an Indian flavor. Excellent music. The video itself is ok. But the music rules.

How the West Was Won: Led Zeppelin. Outstanding versions of songs from through out LZ's reign. Video quality is so-so but the music is top notch.

Yes Symphonic Live: YES. Hours of YES tunes played with an orchestra. Outstanding music. Video is average.

Yep. But I do enjoy reliving Chris Squire's shuffle across the stage as he's doing his 'Starship Trooper' bit...

phenomenal. So while the video/video quality is not great, the music more than makes up for anything that is lacking. Great stuff. I just got my second copy. My teenager scratched my first one when he borrowed it.

Yep. I love the jam at the end when they run out of film. Everyone is out on stage jamming after they do "I Shall Be Released" and I heard the jam went on all night, but they had run out of film. It was all improvisational and everyone simply fed off of each other: Dylan, Clapton, Muddy Waters, Ringo, Ron Wood, Dr. John, Neil Young, Paul Butterfield, Van Morrison, and I'm sure a few others.

Those are good Production DVD's But you can find some good stuff online of independant stuff.

I have a The Mars Volta show that is quite amazing quality/sound. Also some dredg and Tool shows.
