I haven't seen anybody else ask this question. If the Chiefs could have any one player in this years draft, who would you want and why??

It's a tough question, but I would like Mario Williams, he could help instantly and be a force for 10 years to come. A QB for trent to groom would be tough to pass up on though.

there will always be QB'S for Trent to groom,

but a killer DE, them's hard to find

hell this years crop of Qb's prob'ly be trade bate in 3 years

A QB that high doesn't want to be "groomed." Trent still has a couple of years. A "drafted to groom" QB would be at least a 2nd rounder. If not lower.

I think it's a pretty easy question for KC. Mario Williams. Top player at his position... top player at his position in the last few years... top position of need in KC.

I would caution you on whether our 36 year old QB has a COUPLE of good years left. Name a 38 year old QB who is still producing at a productive level. Add the fact that our whole Oline will be revamped and, as much as I would like to see Trent play forever, I think he has two more productive years at the most left. I love Trent, but he can't play forever and we saw what happened last year when the Oline wasn't one hundred percent.
