DJ.........

besides how bad we looked as a team tonight, i thought DJ looked great. I mean 9 tackles in the first half is pretty freakin good. DPOY maybe not such a crazy prediction after all if he keeps that pace in games.

Just trying to sift through the crap that is our defense and find positives............

No time for predictions..... he looked good. Still misread some plays, but he's definitely gaining confidence and looks much more comfortable out there.... I think he'll have a really solid year..... DPOY? Who cares? Only important after the year is over..... the real prize is playing in February...

Um...I hate to say it, but I was going to start a thread about how the Giants seemed to be picking on him in the passing game. He got a lot of tackles because there were receivers catching balls against him all night.

For that matter, I think the Giants specifically went after the left side of our defense when the first team was in. I don't think it was a coincidence that the first play was a reverse toward Eric Hicks' side of the field. And where was Hicks while the receiver was picking up 20 yards? Crashing into the middle of the line again.

This is getting old. Tamba Hali, where are you?

That's funny because I thought the same thing. In fact, I actually started a thread about our LBers play last night night.

Yeah, I saw that thread and agreed with it. I was very surprised, because we keep hearing that pass coverage is DJ's strength. Maybe it was, as you mentioned, that he was assigned to WRs.

i don't think they were picking on DJ, i think they were picking on everyone. But maybe you're right, i hope teams pick on him all year, sooner or later it's going to burn them, he's too much of a playmaker

DJ is the strongside linebacker. He was run at plenty of times last year.
