John Mullin, of the Chicago Tribune, reports six teams placed waiver claims on former Chicago Bears DL Michael Haynes, but the New Orleans Saints were the winners. "He is a healthy, great kid who needs an opportunity," said agent Brian Mackler. "He'll be the fourth end and this is a great opportunity for him and for the Saints. Michael Haynes was the 14th pick of the (2003) draft for a reason."

I guess that's true the Saints would have a higher claim.....I doubt the Chiefs were interested in Haynes, they seem pretty comfortable with having Hicks around for some reason I have yet to figure out.
