If you were Al Davis.....

Wouldn't you try to hire Marty at all costs?!? I mean Marty had wtfpwnd the Raiders for ever. I'm glad Al isn't playing with a full deck.

If I were Al Davis, I'd kill myself if I wasn't already dead.

And Marty would never work for Al Davis.

Marty (and all other coaches) are ho's. They all have a price and are no more loyal than the Neil Smith/Dale Carter's of the world.

Who turned him down besides Sarkisian? It's clear Davis just wants a young offensive-minded head coach that he can influence. If he wanted Marty, he could get him. Just pay him the same amount that Snyder paid MS. Why would Parcells agree to coach the Cowboys, his former archrival? They all have a price.

You don't think Marty would jump at the chance to beat the Chiefs, Chargers, and Broncos twice a year?

No I don't.

Marty will not be a puppet, and Davis wants someone he will control.

That's pretty funny nut.

I think it'd be a good move by AD and a bad one by Marty.

and marty would NEVER work for al davis: he's too independent, and al wouldn't give up power to a coach (hell, having gruden KILLED him)... and marty has an avowed hatred of the raiders

alot of people seem to hate AD. Isn't Marcus Allen's dislike of the way AD treated him the reason he retired as a Chief, went to the HOF as a Chief?

I think I remember him saying that when he signed, that if he stayed with us for a year or more, whatever it was, he wouldn't retire as a Raider.

Marcus went into the Hall as both a Raider and a Chief.
