TRANSFORMERS

I just got home from an 8pm first showing of this movie. I took my 10 and 5 year old kids and they loved it! I must say, I wish the movie was out when I was a youngster. But late its better than never! Great flick Lotsa explosions, but the violence was mostly metal exploding or being shot up. Stronly recomended for those of you still stuck in your childhood like me.

Just saw it too and I totally agree. I thought it was awesome. When I first found out in November it would be a movie I didn't think it would have much of a plot, just an excuse to blow things up and show off some cars. While it did that, I was also glad they kept it simple and didn't try to get all cute with it. Left it open big time for another.

That worried me also, I thought 2 hours would be a bit much, but all 3 of us pretty were glued to the screen throughout the entire movie. I thought it had an exciting plot mixed with great action and humor.

Again agreed (I like the air freshener on Bumblebee's rearview)...

And let's just say that Megan Fox is aptly named. HOT DAYUMN!

I saw her in Maxim a few months back... apparently she is dating Brian Austin Green from 90210 and is a total dumbass. Hot but dumb. I hate dumb chicks, but love hot ones, so Im torn.

Eh, I'm not so discriminating. I'm not looking for her to do my taxes or anything, just get naked and prepare to receive.

She's on the cover of the current issue of Maxim.

You say that like it's a bad thing. Giving her a Mensa test is the furthest thing from my mind when I look at this picture.

The transformers don't look like they talk in them.

They talk. The original Optimus voice was in it. Maybe some of the others, I don't remember them from way back, but definitely Optimus.

You can honestly say that Trailer 2 was bad? I have to question your sanity.

No plot, no character archs, tons of action and CG and explosives = Michael Bay

Only part I disagree with is the "exciting plot". While the film was exciting, no doubt, there was no real plot. I guess you could say "protect cube" but that's about it.

This is one of those deals where, normally, I would never, ever go see a movie about robots that turn into dumptrucks. But now that you guys have posted so many favorable things about the film, I can't wait to see it.

I'm Planetized.

It's especially fun for those of us who grew up with the toys and cartoons. I was a Transformer junky for much of elementary school.

Even if you didn't, it's still a really cool summer block buster movie in the mold of Independence Day or Armageddon (world is in great peril, we have a secret weapon to prevent it's destruction, but it must be unleashed by the "everyman")

I loved the toys growing up and I am excited to see the film.
