None of the above. Mancard still in my wallet. Although if I had to chose I would go with Grease. Olivia Newton John in leather pants back then...

I've never sat through any of the three.

I believe that I may have sat through Footloose, but I hated it. The musical movie is a genre that should have been aborted in the first trimester.

No, no, no, no.... there are some great films that are musicals. Just probably some you've never seen.... obviously, some of the ones I'm naming you've probably seen. If not, you're missing out.

Paint Your Wagon, featuring the uber-men Lee Marvin and Clint Eastwood, was not only good cinema, but had outstanding music and was really funny.

Same with 1776.

One of the greatest films of all time is Singin' in the Rain.

Other GREAT ones are Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Wizard of Oz, My Fair Lady, Sound of Music, The Music Man, and Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Some from more recent: I love Nightmare Before Christmas, Moulin Rouge, Little Shop of Horrors and the film adaptation of Chicago...

And I'm really looking forward to Sweeney Todd.

Some of those I did enjoy. A couple of others to mention:

Fiddler on the Roof starring Topol

The King and I starring Yul Brenner (which while good, was vastly inferior to the time I got to see him perform the role live on stage).

I thought of those... I thought The King and I was OK. I flat didn't like Fiddler on the Roof. Can't hardly stand the music.

So.....uh......when are you going to name a great film that was a musical?

Simplex is right.

This genre should have been aborted.

I guess they would have been if it weren't for being so popular.

My wife's favorite movie ever is Grease. I don't get it, but she does. My daughter loves musicals. So does my mom. I'll let them keep musicals as long as I can have westerns.

Grease by far. Didn't care at all for SNF or Footloose.

I actually like Grease. I would preface that by saying that not only am I a film geek, but I was a vocal music major for two years in college.

SNF and Grease i both like. Footloose is pretty much garbage.

Travolta was a hell of a dancer.

I've never seen any of these, and I also always mix up Footloose with Flashdance.

My wife loves Grease so I see it when it's replayed on TV, I guess. Haven't seen it years but I know I've seen at least bits and pieces of it more than half a dozen times.

I'm sure I saw Footloose a time or two when I was a kid. That was out when I was taking girls to the movies and bragging about holding their hand.

I don't think I've ever seen the other one.
